Teams from Institut de Biologie Paris-Seine and Institut du Fer à Moulin that propose an interdisciplinary PhD training project have posted their offers here. Identify up to 5 projects and host labs in which you would be interested in doing your PhD research.
Step 1. Applicants fill in the application form (download here). Written applications are due by February 26, 2021. The application form includes:
- Information sheet
- CV (2 pages maximum)
- University grades (Master 1 & ongoing Master 2 or equivalent)
- Summary of the Master thesis project (2 pages maximum)
- Motivation letter (3 pages maximum. Describe the reasons for the choice of projects.
- 2-3 reference names (with their e-mail)
The application form should be prepared as a single PDF file. Applications have to be submitted online, below. Applications by mail or fax will not be considered.
Step 2. 1st round selection: Evaluation of applications by the i-Bio Executive Committee in mid-March.
Step 3. Selected candidates are invited for a three-day visit to Sorbonne University during the first two weeks of April. Travel expenses and housing are paid by the i-Bio program. During the stay, candidates visit the host laboratories, the IBPS and IFM (technical core facilities…), meet the members of the i-Bio Executive committee, current students and other scientists working at the IBPS and IFM, meet all together at luncheons and dinners with students and scientists. At the end of the visit, applications must be confirmed, with only one project per candidate.
Step 4. 2nd round selection: Candidates are called to an interview by videoconference, by the Selection Committee in mid-May. Final results will be immediately communicated.
